Colorado High School Lacrosse Divisions
The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) first sanctioned boys high school lacrosse in 1999, with all programs competing together in a single unclassified division. As the sport continued to grow across the state, the Coaches Association began working with CHSAA to establish multiple classifications. Those efforts led to the first official separation of teams in 2013, when schools were placed into 4A and 5A divisions, each with its own playoffs and state championship.
